Childminding Assistant

Duties

• Assist with supervising children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest times to ensure their safety and well-being
• Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote development in areas such as language, social skills, and creativity
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Engage with children using positive reinforcement techniques to foster confidence and independence
• Support communication with parents or guardians regarding daily activities and children's progress
• Assist with transporting children safely to and from activities or outings using provided transportation methods if required
• Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding policies diligently to ensure a secure environment for all children

Requirements

• Previous experience in childcare, nannying, teaching, or similar roles is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of French is a valuable bonus for bilingual environments
• Valid driving license and experience driving safely are highly desirable for assisting with outings or transportation needs
• Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a lively setting
• Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or weekends as needed
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all safety protocols
