Children's Home Registered Manager

PCF Residential Childcare Ltd is seeking an experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted-registered children’s home in Halesowen, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

We are proud to have been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in consecutive inspections.

This is a key leadership role where you will drive high-quality, child-centred practice, develop a strong staff team, and ensure the home consistently meets regulatory requirements and delivers positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring policies, procedures and best practice are followed
• Ensure the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations, striving for inspections rated Good or above
• Provide strong, visible leadership, creating a positive, nurturing and trauma-informed environment
• Recruit, train, supervise and develop staff to meet the needs of the children and the service
• Work effectively with social workers, education, health professionals and other stakeholders
• Maintain robust safeguarding practice and ensure children’s welfare is paramount at all times
• Oversee care planning, risk management and progress against outcomes for each child
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to support a stable and sustainable service

What we’re looking for

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s home
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and guidance for residential childcare
• Experience supporting children with EBD and complex needs
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Demonstrable experience in building and developing teams, including recruitment and performance management
