Children's Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with children, offering emotional support and encouragement.
• Assist in implementing individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
• Support children with daily activities, including personal care, play, education, and social interactions.
• Collaborate with families, social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and care activities using IT systems.
• Promote positive behavior management strategies in line with organizational policies.
• Drive safely when transporting children or attending community activities as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in a childcare or support setting.
• Valid driving license with a clean driving record; willingness to drive as part of the role.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
• Knowledge of child development principles and ability to create supportive environments.
• Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if necessary.
