Chiller Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration / Chiller Engineer to join Leeton's growing team in Peterborough, part of the 24-7 Group, working alongside the Project Manager and wider engineering team. This is a predominantly site-based role covering a mix of maintenance, installation, and project work.

The role has an industrial HVAC/Refrigeration focus, covering Chillers, walk in fridges and freezers, MCC and Data centre, AHUs, and cold rooms. You will carry out installation, maintenance, and fault-finding to a high standard, complete accurate commissioning paperwork, and build strong working relationships with clients on site.

The Peterborough office employs 54 people, including a team of 20-25 based in the office, supporting a stable pipeline of long-term maintenance and project work for clients including food and manufacturing businesses such as Perkins and British Sugar, alongside FM work delivered via managing agents including Bidwells and Eddisons.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, maintenance, and fault-finding across a mix of maintenance, installation, and project work
• Work on industrial HVAC/AC and Refrigeration systems, including Chillers, AHUs, and cold rooms
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while working on customer sites
• Complete commissioning paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Work safely and to a high standard, following company procedures at all times
• Report any issues or additional works identified on site to the Project Manager
• Primarily site-based, with occasional office-based administrative tasks
• Support the Project Manager and wider engineering team in the delivery of maintenance, call out and projects.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong industrial HVAC/AC/refrigeration background
• Level 2 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning minimum
• Recognised AC/refrigeration qualification (e.g. F-Gas, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
• Comfortable working independently and building client relationships on site
• Experience with commissioning paperwork
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Full UK driving licence

• Salary £22.60 per hour or £47,000.00 per year, plus overtime
• Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, and no on-call requirement
