Chiller Service Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and perform corrective actions to restore chiller systems and associate equipment to normal operation.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair defects chiller systems, including electrical, mechanical, and control components.

• Perform preventive maintenance on contracted and warranty-covered chiller units in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.

• Inspect, repair and replace defective or worn-out chiller components including compressor, pumps, heat exchangers, valves, motors, sensors and control devices

• Conduct operational inspections, system performance testing and commissioning activities to ensure chiller systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a vocational or Technical School in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in servicing commercial or industrial chiller systems is preffered.

• Strong knowledge of chiller systems, electrical controls, compressors and HVAC equiment.

• Ability to read electrical schematic, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

• Familiarity with chiller recovery and charging procedures.
