Chimney Technician Apprentice

Chim Cheroo Chimney Services, Inc. has been in business for over 35 years and is a trusted provider of chimney, fireplace, gas hearth, and masonry services, committed to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. We service North Central Ohio areas including Richland, Ashland, Lorain, Sandusky, Huron, Erie, Ottawa, Crawford, and Wayne Counties. We are looking for a hardworking and motivated Technician Apprentice & Masonry Laborer to support our team in chimney maintenance, repairs, and masonry work.

Job Responsibilities

Chimney Technician Apprentice Duties:

• Assist lead chimney technicians with inspections, cleanings, repairs, and installations.
• Carry tools, ladders, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including job sites and company vehicles.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Learn and develop technical skills related to chimney maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to work at heights, on ladders, and in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Must be comfortable working in tight spaces and on rooftops.
• Prior experience in construction, masonry, or chimney services is a plus but not required.
