Chinese Parent Relations

Job Purpose:

The Chinese Parent Relations Position serves as the primary bridge between the school, parents, and Chinese-speaking families. This role is responsible for driving parent satisfaction, coordinating to increase Chinese student enrollment, managing student visa procedures, resolving complaints, translating corporate and marketing materials, and engaging parents via Chinese messaging and social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Parent and Family Relations

• Provide high-quality service, hospitality, and daily assistance to parents and guardians.
• Serve as the main point of contact and liaison officer for Chinese-speaking families to ensure seamless onboarding and community integration.
• Coordinate curriculum-related inquiries and academic information between parents and the academic team.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate Parent Meetings, orientation sessions, and school community events.
• Manage and process student visa applications, extensions, and related immigration documentation in compliance with regulation guidelines.

2. Complaint Management

• Receive, document, and investigate parent feedback, concerns, and formal complaints.
• Collaborate with internal school departments to resolve issues efficiently, empathetically, and in alignment with school policies.
• Follow up with families to ensure long-term satisfaction and maintain positive school-parent relationships.

3. Marketing & Digital Platform Management

• Monitor and respond to parent inquiries, leads, and prospective families on Chinese digital channels and apps (e.g., WeChat, and Xiaohongshu).
• Assist the marketing team in tailoring promotional campaigns and messaging for the Chinese-speaking market.
• Translate marketing collaterals, promotional brochures, and digital content into clear and culturally appropriate Chinese.
• Provide accurate translation of official school documents, announcements, newsletters, handbooks, and policies between Thai/English and Chinese.
• Assist in live interpretation during official school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and executive presentations when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Communications, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
• Language Skills: Native or near-native Chinese proficiency (HSK 5/6 required) with good command of English and/or Thai for internal coordination.
• Chinese nationality or Chinese speakers proficient in Thai and English are preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in parent relations, customer service, marketing, or administrative roles within an international school, language institute, or multicultural organization.
• Technical & Platform Skills: Proficient in Chinese social media and communication ecosystems (WeChat Official Accounts//Xiaohongshu) and standard office software.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, high cultural empathy, and competence in handling conflict or sensitive situations with discretion.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with student visa procedures and international/private school curriculum structures is highly advantageous.
