Chinese Subtitle Specialist

What You'll Do

• Review subtitle files for linguistic accuracy, timing, formatting, and synchronization.
• Ensure subtitles comply with client and platform style guides (Netflix experience is a plus).
• Identify and resolve linguistic and technical issues before delivery.
• Collaborate with translators, editors, and project managers to maintain quality and consistency.
• Support continuous improvements to subtitling workflows and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese Traditional/Simplified and English.
• Experience in subtitling, localization, translation, or subtitle QA.
• Familiarity with professional subtitling tools (e.g., Ooona, EZTitles, Subtitle Edit).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent language skills.
• Knowledge of SDH/Closed Captions and streaming platform guidelines is an advantage.
