Chip Design / Application Engineer

About the role

This is a Chip Design/Application Engineer position focused on contributing to the digital front-end design of advanced CPUs, processor cores, and SoCs. You will work across key R&D areas including CPU design, core development, and chip-level integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams on full-cycle project execution from architectural definition to successful chip delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the digital front-end design of advanced CPUs, processor cores, and SoCs, covering key R&D areas including CPU design, core development, and chip-level integration
• Perform hardware description language (HDL) implementation, module-level functional verification, logic synthesis, and static timing analysis, and create related technical documentation
• Support chip performance analysis, functional debugging, and the development of application solutions, assisting customers with technical issues as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on full-cycle project execution—from architectural definition to successful chip delivery
• Conduct research and implement innovative technologies related to advanced processor architectures, low-power design, and high-performance computing

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Microelectronics, Integrated Circuits, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Solid foundation in digital circuits with in-depth knowledge of computer architecture, computer organization, and digital design principles
• Proficiency in hardware description languages such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
• Familiarity with the digital front-end design flow. Experience in module design, functional verification, or logic synthesis is a plus
• Strong English communication skills to collaborate effectively in an international, multicultural team environment
• Strong logical thinking and exceptional problem-analysis and resolution skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player
• Passionate about chip design, eager to learn emerging technologies, and ready to tackle complex challenges
