Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Serve customers efficiently at the counter, taking orders with a friendly attitude and upselling additional menu items when appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness of the service stations throughout your shift.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, providing correct change and processing payments promptly.
• Follow food safety regulations diligently to ensure all food is served hygienically.
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Skills

• Experience in a chip shop is essential, as there will not be time for training in such a busy shop.
• Strong serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor that makes customers feel welcome.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
