Duties
We are seeking a part-time chiropodist to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality care and services for their patients’ foot and ankle concerns.

This includes:

• Assessments for foot pain
• Footwear assessments
• Biomechanical/gait analysis
• Custom orthotics
• Medical pedicures
• Callus care
• Nail care
• Ingrown toenails
• Patient education
• Diabetic foot care
• Wart removal (freezing, cantherone, excision and needling)
• Administering local anaesthetic when needed
• Taking patient foot molds for footwear modifications
• Corn removal
• Fungal infections
• Surgical procedures (partial nail avulsion, total nail avulsion, wart needling, wart
  excision)
• Issuing prescriptions
• Following and maintaining patient safety and COVID-19 protocols, including sanitizing rooms between treatments

Requirements:

• Diploma from a recognized school of chiropody
• A registered member in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
• Carries professional liability insurance
• New graduates and experienced chiropodist experienced welcomed, practicing chiropody medicine, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of chiropody care.
• Ability to work in a face-paced environment while maintaining the highest standard of patient care
• Friendly demeanor with great patient rapport, and an ability to interact with patients
  in a warm, approachable and professional manner
• Willingness, patience and ability to effectively communicate with patients, educate
  them about their foot health, and work with them to develop a treatment plan.
• Enthusiasm for raising awareness about foot health
• Address the needs of their patients and monitor them effectively over time
• Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff, patients and
  organizational privacy.
