Job Summary

WE’RE SEARCHING FOR AN OCTOPUS!

Coburn Chiropractic is hiring an octopus. Not literally—but we do need someone who can care for patients, lead mobility/functional based exercises, assist patient with pain management through passive therapies, lead new-patient workups, keep the office moving, and answer a phone when needed.

This is a hands-on, fast-moving position for someone who loves helping people and understands exercise and the human body. Absolutely loves interacting with patients of all ages, anticipating what a patient needs AND what a doctor needs AND looks forward to challenging and celebrating with patients as the move towards their wellness goals.

You may be a great fit if you have experience as a:

Personal trainer
Fitness coach
Kinesiology student
Rehab or therapy aide
Exercise or wellness professional

This person will:

Set patients up on doctor-prescribed therapies
Lead patients through prescribed rehab exercises
Help with new-patient workups
Keep patient care and office flow moving
Answer phones and assist the scheduler when needed
Jump in wherever the team needs support

We’re looking for someone warm, energetic, dependable, coachable, and comfortable working directly with patients and takes direction from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure a positive experience from the moment they arrive
• Prepare treatment rooms by setting up necessary equipment and ensuring cleanliness and organization
• Assist chiropractors during patient examinations and treatments by providing support with positioning, applying therapies, or handling equipment
• Take vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates to monitor patient health status accurately
• Maintain detailed medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, including notes on treatments, patient responses, and progress
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly
• Support medical office management by handling phone inquiries, verifying insurance information, and assisting with billing or coding as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and pharmacology to effectively support clinical activities
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and electronic medical documentation practices
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required to ensure patient safety during treatments
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically in high-pressure situations
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
