What they need

About the Role

Do you love making someone's day? AlignWell Chiropractic is looking for a warm, organized, and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant to join our team in Holland, MI. This role starts at the front desk, where you'll be the first voice patients hear and the first face they see: welcoming families, managing the schedule, handling payments and insurance, and keeping the clinic running smoothly.

Once you've mastered the front desk, you'll cross-train into the clinical side of our practice, learning to take x-rays and conduct patient evaluations alongside our doctors. Prior clinical experience is not required, though preferred; we provide hands-on training. This is a great fit for someone who loves people, learns quickly, and wants to grow a long-term career in healthcare.

Your Growth Path

  • Front Desk Foundations: In your first 2–4 weeks, learn our patient experience standards, scheduling system, and call scripts with support from our team.
  • Front Desk Ownership: Confidently run the front desk, from greeting patients and managing the schedule to handling payments and insurance conversations.
  • Clinical Cross-Training: Once you're consistently confident at the front desk, begin training in x-rays and patient evaluations, building skills that open the door to more responsibility over time.

About Us

At AlignWell Chiropractic, we believe people were made to thrive.

We specialize in neurologically focused chiropractic care for infants, children, pregnant moms, and entire families. Our mission is to restore and optimize nervous system function through specific chiropractic care, education, and guidance that empowers lifelong health.

Our team is passionate about serving others with excellence, creating meaningful relationships, and helping families adapt, grow, serve, and flourish in every season of life.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves people and wants to make a difference every single day.

What We Offer

  • Complimentary chiropractic care
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Parental leave
  • Life insurance
  • Employee discount on products
  • Paid, hands-on training, including x-ray and evaluation cross-training
  • A positive, supportive team environment
  • Clear opportunities for growth

Schedule

  • Average of 32+ hours per week, including clinic hours, opening and closing duties, and community events
  • Occasional weekend shifts for special community events
  • Weekly team meetings and monthly training

Job Responsibilities

You'll start with front desk and administrative responsibilities, then cross-train into patient evaluations as you grow.

Receptionist Support: The Face of Our Core Values

  • Patient Experience: Welcome patients with warmth and professionalism, build lasting relationships, anticipate patient needs, and create a positive, organized environment throughout every visit.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Manage new patient and ongoing care appointments, optimize provider schedules, confirm visits, and follow up on missed or overdue appointments.
  • Communication: Answer phones, texts, and emails promptly and professionally while confidently assisting current and prospective patients.
  • Financial Administration: Process payments, explain financial policies and payment options, and maintain accurate billing information.
  • Training & Scripts: Learn and confidently use our patient interaction and call scripts within your first 2–4 weeks.

Administrative Support: Keeping the Clinic Running Smoothly

  • Patient Records: Prepare new patient paperwork, maintain electronic health records, and scan and organize patient documentation.
  • Office Operations: Support efficient patient flow, complete daily reports and reconciliation, restock supplies, and help maintain a clean, welcoming clinic.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist providers and teammates throughout the day, participate in training and team meetings, and represent AlignWell Chiropractic at community events as needed.
  • Patient Insurance: Complete insurance verifications and account audit reviews so you can confidently walk patients through their coverage.

Patient Evaluations (Cross-Training): Building Trust Through Care

  • Radiography: After training, take x-rays as part of the examination process, following safety protocols and ensuring accurate, high-quality images for provider review.
  • Evaluations: Conduct re-evaluations, auto case evaluations, and update evaluations following established protocols, documenting findings clearly and accurately.
  • Clinical Support: Guide new and returning patients through their visits with professional, attentive care, helping them feel informed and comfortable at every step.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Loves serving people and naturally builds relationships
  • Is warm, patient, and comfortable caring for infants, children, and expecting moms
  • Communicates confidently and professionally, in person and on the phone
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Stays calm and organized while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes initiative without needing constant direction
  • Is eager to learn and excited to grow into clinical responsibilities
  • Brings positive energy to every interaction
  • Believes exceptional service creates exceptional experiences

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability for 32+ hours per week, including occasional weekend community events
  • Willingness to complete x-ray training and any required certification

  • Spanish-English bilingual
