Chiropractic Therapy Assistant

Position Summary

The Chiropractic Therapy Assistant plays a key role in ensuring clinical efficiency and patient satisfaction within the therapy area of the practice. This team member oversees therapy flow, assists in the delivery of passive and active therapies, and ensures compliance with clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Flow

• Greet and guide patients through the therapy process with warmth and professionalism.
• Administer or supervise application of passive therapies (e.g., heat/ice, myofascial therapy, laser etc).
• Instruct and oversee patients performing active rehabilitation or exercises.
• Monitor therapy schedules to minimize patient wait times and maximize provider efficiency.
• Ensure therapy equipment is sanitized, stocked, and functioning.

Communication & Patient Experience

• Educate patients on the purpose and benefits of their therapy and care plan.
• Communicate any concerns or progress notes to the doctor promptly.
• Create a calm, encouraging, and organized environment for patients and staff alike.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand/ walk majority of the day
• Performing therapies on patients
• Providing light support as patients lift or lower themselves

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a chiropractic, physical therapy, or rehabilitation setting is a plus. Hold a strong belief in Chiropractic and Holistic Wellness: you don't have to have experience with chiropractic at all but an interest in it and natural/ holistic wellness is important.
• Basic knowledge of chiropractic therapies and rehabilitative exercise.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills as well as attention to detail: the environment we work in can be challenging at times and being a problem solver with good critical thinking skills are necessary.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills: friendly and engaging with patients- this is not a typical medical office environment. We tend to see our patients weekly so building relationships is important.
• Ability to lead by example and foster a team environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment: there is very little sitting involved in this job so being able to stand, squat and bend during the entire shift is vital. A positive attitude will serve you well!
• Takes initiative and self-motivated: quick learner and open to continued training and coaching.
• DEPENDABILITY!! We are a small practice and your role will be vital to the success of the office and your ability to advance will depend highly on your won motivation and dependability.

Must be available: M 8:00 - 6:00, T 8:00 - 7:00, W 8:00 - 6:00, Th 8:00 - 7:00, F 8:00 - 1:00

Part time is 20-22 hours per week and full time is approximately 32-34 hours per week.

No weekends!

We take a 2 hour lunch break from 1:00 - 3:00 each day. You will not be scheduled for all of the hours listed but these are the hours we are open.
