Church Accompanist

Job Title: Church Accompanist

Reports to: Pastor, Worship Team

Job Description: Coordinate, organize and lead the musical aspects of the worship service in conjunction with the Pastor, Choir Director, and Worship Team

Essential Responsibilities:

· Provide keyboard accompaniment for all services on Sundays and special holidays. This includes Prelude, Postlude, Liturgy, Hymns and Choir or special music accompaniment. Some mid-week services on Thursday evenings throughout the year.

· Accompany Choir weekly during the worship services and for practice prior to the services during the months of September through May.

· Accompany special music and soloists during summer months and monthly during the rest of the church year.

· Meet with small group to select hymns for services monthly.

· Meet with worship team seasonally.

· Arrange for piano tuning annually.

Additional Skills/Qualifications:

· Good communication skills.

· Ability to work in teams.

· Ability to sight read preferred.

· Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible.

Pay: $250.00 per day
