As our Managed Services business continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Citrix Specialist to join our Cape Town team and play a key role in supporting and enhancing virtual workspace environments for customers across the UK and beyond.

The Role

As a Citrix Specialist, you'll be responsible for supporting, administering, and optimising customer Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. You'll work as part of a highly skilled Managed Workspace team, ensuring our customers benefit from secure, stable, and high-performing virtual desktop solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Citrix professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with cutting-edge technologies, and contributing to service improvement initiatives in a fast-paced managed services environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting and optimising Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop environments for a diverse customer base.
• Acting as a technical escalation point for complex workspace and virtualisation issues.
• Delivering high-quality customer support aligned to agreed service levels.
• Performing proactive platform health checks to identify and resolve issues before they impact users.
• Managing infrastructure alerts, remediation activities, patching, and approved platform changes.
• Contributing to service improvement initiatives and helping drive operational excellence.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Mentoring junior engineers and sharing expertise across the team.
• Collaborating with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Supporting incident management processes and major incident escalations when required.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops , Citrix Cloud , and/or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) .
• Experience supporting enterprise virtual workspace and application delivery platforms.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft client and server operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure administration.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and identity services.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Application packaging and deployment expertise.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based service management environments.
• Experience working within a Managed Services or MSP environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills

• Azure Administrator certification (AZ-104).
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management experience.
• Exchange and Active Directory administration skills.
• Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with Nerdio and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Relevant Citrix, Microsoft, or cloud certifications.
