Job Summary

A company in Ikeja is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to plan, design, supervise and manage construction projects. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills and the ability to ensure that projects meet required quality, safety and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design and supervise civil engineering and construction projects.
• Prepare project estimates, technical reports and work schedules.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and assess project progress.
• Ensure that construction work meets quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, project managers and other professionals.
• Monitor project costs, materials and resource utilisation.
• Identify technical challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and engineering standards.
• Prepare progress reports and provide updates to management.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in civil engineering or construction is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software is an advantage.
• Good project management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be organised, detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
