Civil 3D CAD Technician

The selected candidate will work with staff on projects that may include sewer, water, utility, roadway reconstruction, intersection improvements, safety improvements, bike and pedestrian facilities, drainage improvements, and more to prepare detailed drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and other graphic representations of civil designs.

The selected candidate will lay out plans and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D from sketches and/or by verbal instructions and be responsible for printing, plotting, and binding drawings for submittals. The selected candidate will incorporate redline changes from the staff.

The following education and/or experience are the minimum standards which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities for this position:

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience working as a Civil Designer
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D (MicroStation a plus)
• Drafting experience on civil engineering projects
• Good oral and written communications skills
• A valid Driver's License.
