Civil Class 5 Drivers

About the Role
Unite Recruit is seeking experienced Class 5 Civil Drivers for civil construction projects across the Wellington region.

This role involves transporting 40-foot containers, steel casing and machinery to support civil construction operations. We’re looking for a capable, safety-conscious driver with proven civil experience, WTR endorsements and the practical skills needed to handle transport requirements in a construction environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Transporting 40-foot containers, steel casing, machinery and other project materials as required.
• Operating Class 5 transport vehicles to support civil construction projects.
• Using WTR endorsements where required and within your competency.
• Coordinating with site crews to support deliveries, movements and daily site operations.
• Following transport, loading and unloading procedures and all relevant health and safety requirements.

What You’ll Need

• Current Class 5 driver licence – essential.
• WTR endorsements – essential.
• Proven civil construction experience – essential.
• Experience transporting containers, steel casing, machinery or other heavy equipment is highly relevant.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
