Job Description

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents in day-to-day field operations.
• Coordinate construction activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
• Assist with project scheduling, sequencing, and resource planning.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor work for compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Track production quantities and prepare daily reports.
• Support subcontractor coordination and communication efforts.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and progress reporting.
• Ensure adherence to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders to resolve field issues.
• Support project closeout activities and final documentation.

The Successful Applicant A Successful Civil Construction Field Engineer Should Have

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in heavy civil construction, civil infrastructure, site development, transportation, utilities, or related construction projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and project management practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Experience with project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced field environment.
• EIT certification is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
