Civil Construction Foreperson

MBD Contracting is looking for a hands-on Civil Construction Foreperson.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys leading from the front while remaining actively involved in operating machinery and delivering quality projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate work crews through positive, hands-on leadership
• Plan daily tasks to ensure projects are on schedule
• Read and understand plans, set up work sites and use GPS equipment
• Operating various machinery and equipment (excavators, grader)
• Work closely with management, engineers and clients

The ideal candidate will have:

• Competence operating machinery with knowledge of GPS machine control systems
• Site leadership experience across a range of civil construction projects including road construction, culvert and drainage installations
• Quality focused, confident reading plans and problem solving
• Reliable and a willingness to work away from home when required
• Full New Zealand Driver's Licence, Class 4, WTR endorsements
