Client Side Civil Construction Superintendent / Supervisor – Perth Metro

An established engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent / Supervisor to oversee civil construction works across multiple sites throughout the Perth metropolitan area.

This is a client-side opportunity suited to someone with a strong civil construction background who can confidently interpret engineering drawings, manage technical queries and ensure contractors are delivering works in accordance with project specifications and design requirements.

Working from a centrally located Perth office, you will coordinate your own diary and working hours around site visits, typically attending approximately 10 sites per day. The role offers a combination of office-based coordination and on-site construction oversight, with the autonomy to organise your workload and manage your time effectively.

The Role

You will provide construction oversight across multiple civil projects, working closely with contractors, project managers and engineering teams to ensure works are progressing in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating your diary and site visits across multiple Perth metropolitan projects.
• Attending approximately 10 sites per day to monitor construction progress and workmanship.
• Reviewing civil engineering drawings and identifying discrepancies or potential construction issues.
• Responding to technical queries from contractors and site teams, liaising with design engineers where required.
• Monitoring works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications and quality standards.
• Identifying defects, non-conformances and design issues, and coordinating corrective actions.
• Liaising with contractors, site supervisors, project managers and engineering teams.
• Preparing site inspection reports and documenting technical issues, observations and resolutions.
• Managing your workload between site inspections and the centrally located Perth office.

About You

You will have a solid background in civil construction, ideally as a Civil Supervisor, Civil Superintendent, Site Supervisor or similar, with the practical experience to assess construction works, interpret drawings and resolve issues on site.

Experience across roads, drainage, earthworks, subdivisions, pavements or general civil infrastructure will be highly regarded.

You will also bring:

• The ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience dealing with technical queries and resolving construction issues.
• A sound understanding of civil construction methods, workmanship and quality requirements.
• Confidence communicating with contractors and engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple site visits throughout the day.
• A current driver's licence and the ability to travel between Perth metropolitan sites.
