Civil Designer (Tekla) - Civil & Structural

Job Summary**

Cyient, Inc. is seeking a skilled Design Engineer with expertise in Civil Drafting to join our dynamic team. This role involves producing detailed civil engineering drawings and models for various infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

Job Responsibilities**

* Prepare detailed 2D and 3D civil engineering drawings, plans, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., Tekla, ).
* Develop and revise drawings for site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and other civil infrastructure components.
* Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design data to create accurate and complete technical documentation.
* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is accurately translated into drawings.
* Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure compliance with company standards, project requirements, and industry codes.
* Maintain organized project files, drawing registers, and drawing revision control.
* Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and material schedules from drawings.
* Research and apply relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations to design drawings.
* Participate in design reviews and provide technical input as required.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in civil drafting and design.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is added advantage; experience with Civil 3D is highly preferred.
* Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, drafting standards, and construction practices.
* Experience with grading, drainage, utility design, and roadway layout.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, assists with the design, construction, maintenance, and/or repair of plant building(s) or machinery. May establish standards and policies regarding pollution control, testing, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenance of equipment. May research and recommend purchase of new equipment and systems.
