Civil Draftsman

Role Summary

The Civil Draftsman will be responsible for preparing, developing, and maintaining accurate civil and construction drawings for ALFIRAS construction projects. The role will work closely with civil engineers, site teams, consultants, and other disciplines to ensure drawings are prepared in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, and site requirements. The position will also support the preparation of shop drawings, detailed drawings, coordination drawings, revisions, and as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate civil, structural, and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop shop drawings, detailed drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Prepare plans, sections, elevations, layouts, and construction details as required.
• Review drawings and incorporate comments from engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Coordinate civil drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Work closely with site engineers and project teams to address drawing-related requirements and revisions.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved designs, project specifications, and relevant standards.
• Maintain proper drawing numbering, revisions, and document control.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings based on actual site conditions and approved changes.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and issued within the required project timelines.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience as a Civil Draftsman.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in building/construction projects is preferred.
• UAE/GCC construction experience will be an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Good understanding of construction methods and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with engineers and site teams.
