Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Draftsman with a minimum of 2 years of GCC experience in the construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, construction details, and as-built drawings in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil, architectural, and structural shop drawings based on approved design drawings and project requirements.
• Develop construction details, sections, elevations, layouts, and fabrication drawings as required.
• Prepare coordination drawings and identify potential clashes between architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments, design changes, approved site instructions, and project requirements.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings, specifications, and construction details.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to clarify technical requirements.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings to reflect actual site conditions and completed works.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable building codes, and relevant authority requirements.
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, completeness, and consistency before submission.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and proper version control for all issued drawings.
• Prepare drawing submissions and incorporate consultant feedback and approval comments.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, material planning, and other technical documentation when required.
• Update drawings based on approved RFIs, variation orders, and design modifications.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of drawings to support project schedules and site activities.
• Follow company CAD standards, drafting procedures, and document control requirements.
• Maintain and archive superseded drawings and ensure proper record-keeping.
• Support project handover by preparing complete as-built drawing packages.
• Perform other drafting and technical support duties assigned by the Engineering Manager or Project Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of GCC experience as a Civil Draftsman in the construction industry.
• Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare civil, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Good understanding of construction methods, building materials, and technical detailing.
• Knowledge of shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Familiarity with GCC construction practices, building codes, and authority requirements.
• Knowledge of Revit and BIM software will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and drawing/document management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with GCC construction experience are preferred.
• Experience coordinating with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Immediate availability will be an advantage.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
