Civil Draughtsman

Core Responsibilities

• Create Drawings: Produce clear 2D and 3D technical layouts, plans, sections, and elevations using CAD software.
• Convert Sketches: Transform rough engineering notes, markups, and survey data into buildable shop drawings.
• Collaborate: Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to refine designs and explain building steps.
• Ensure Compliance: Follow local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards on every file.
• Update Documentation: Revise blueprints as designs change and prepare final "as-built" drawings at project completion.

Key Requirements

• Education: Diploma or BE in Civil Engineering, a related drafting trade.
• Software Skills: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to read, calculate dimensions, and understand construction methods.
• Experience: Generally 5+ years of hands-on drafting experience in the construction or infrastructure sector.
