Civil Engineer 4

Overview

We are seeking an experienced civil engineering professional to support the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has expertise in pipeline systems, conveyance infrastructure, and site development, with the ability to work independently, coordinate technical teams, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review engineering designs for water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, distribution systems, and pumping stations.
• Ensure designs meet applicable regulations, engineering standards, and project specifications.
• Conduct site assessments, field inspections, and technical studies to verify existing conditions and design requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain project quality.
• Assist with technical proposals, project planning, and client-focused engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and supporting design documentation.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, project stakeholders, and engineering colleagues.
• Provide technical guidance, delegate assignments, and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and professional knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required and Desired Skillsets

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, as applicable, within the required timeframe.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, pipeline systems, conveyance, or site and civil design.
• Knowledge of engineering design principles, applicable regulations, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software, including 3D and 4D applications.
• Proficiency in standard office software and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coordinate technical activities and support junior staff.
• Willingness to travel when required by project assignments.
