🔋 Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage Projects

Our client is a rapidly growing international energy storage developer and EPC contractor delivering large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Europe. They are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor to oversee on-site civil works during the construction of utility-scale energy storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee all civil construction activities on utility-scale BESS projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate civil subcontractors on site, monitoring workmanship, compliance, and construction progress.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, inspection plans, and quality documentation related to civil works.
• Conduct inspections and acceptance of foundations, earthworks, concrete structures, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure.
• Identify and mitigate construction, quality, and safety risks, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed out effectively.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil, electrical, and commissioning teams to support efficient project execution.
• Support project handover activities, punch-list management, and final acceptance processes.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including inspection reports, quality records, construction logs, and photographic evidence.
• Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and project HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Fluent German and professional English communication skills.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience supervising civil construction works on renewable energy, power generation, utility, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with BESS, solar PV, substations, grid infrastructure, or other energy projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, quality control processes, and site safety management.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple stakeholders on active construction sites.
• Comfortable working in a site-based environment and travelling to project locations as required.
• European project experience is advantageous.
