Civil Engineer

1. Site Execution

• Supervise RCC works, foundations, slabs, pits, trenches, tanks and other civil works as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Check reinforcement, formwork, dimensions, levels and embedded items before concreting.
• Monitor contractor manpower, materials, equipment and daily productivity.
• Track actual progress against agreed targets, identify delays and ensure necessary recovery actions are implemented.

1. BOQ, Quantity Measurement & Billing

• Understand the BOQ and verify executed quantities against approved drawings and actual site work.
• Jointly measure completed quantities with the Civil Contractor on a daily basis and maintain proper measurement records.
• Verify quantities of concrete, reinforcement, formwork and other civil works.
• Check and certify contractor progress bills based on actual measured and completed quantities.
• Identify and verify any variation or additional work before it is considered for billing.

1. Machine & Equipment Foundations

• Supervise machine and heavy equipment foundations, ensuring correct dimensions, levels, openings and embedded components.
• Coordinate civil readiness with machinery installation requirements.

1. PEB & Anchor Bolt Coordination

• Coordinate pedestal preparation, anchor bolt fixing, alignment and levels with the PEB contractor.
• Ensure foundations are completed and handed over according to the PEB erection sequence.

1. Drainage & Underground Services

• Supervise stormwater, sewerage, industrial drainage, trenches, manholes and underground civil works.
• Check slopes and invert levels and coordinate with MEP services to avoid clashes.

1. Quality & Technical Coordination

• Ensure execution complies with approved drawings, specifications and required quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, RFIs, technical clarifications and testing with consultants and contractors.
• Review structural, architectural, PEB and relevant MEP drawings for site coordination.

1. Project Handover

• Coordinate snagging, rectification, as-built documentation and final handover of civil works.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• 5–10 years of experience, preferably in industrial/manufacturing plant construction.

• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of RCC works, machine foundations, PEB foundations/anchor bolts, drainage and underground works.

• Strong understanding of BOQ, site measurement, quantity verification and contractor billing.

• Ability to read structural, architectural and coordination drawings.

• AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency.

• Strong site execution and contractor management skills.

  Preference: Experience in manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, PEB buildings or heavy machinery foundation projects.
