Civil Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, project execution, and construction management to ensure progress aligns with plans and safety standards.
• Prepare, review and independently compile complete sets of Technical Proposals and Commercial/Financial Proposals (Economic Bids) for local tenders.
• Liaise and coordinate effectively with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, clients and local authorities.
• Manage and translate bilingual project documentation, tendering files and progress reports.
• Ensure all engineering workflows comply with local Malaysian building codes, construction processes and authority regulations.
• Prepare site reports, project documentation, cost evaluations and progress updates for management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Malaysian citizen, willing to travel or be based at project sites as required by project operational needs.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in civil site management and project tendering.
• Fluency in spoken and written Chinese/Mandarin to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients, stakeholders and to translate technical/bilingual project documents.
• Able to communicate fluently in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant tendering/costing software.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Weekends off
