About the role

PT Panorama Wisata Handalan is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our engineering projects whilst maintaining flexibility in your work schedule. Based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, you will play a vital role in the design, planning, and execution of civil and structural engineering initiatives that support our business objectives and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and geological assessments to inform project planning and design decisions
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using industry-standard software and methodologies
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to resolve technical challenges and optimise project outcomes
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of civil infrastructure projects
• Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets whilst maintaining comprehensive records and reports
• Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks throughout all project phases
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to enhance construction efficiency and sustainability

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Professional engineering qualification or licensure as a Civil Engineer, with current registration maintained
• Proven experience in civil and structural engineering projects, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or related sectors
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent programmes
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards applicable to civil infrastructure
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with local construction practices and regulations in Indonesia is advantageous
• Flexibility to work on a part-time basis with reliable availability
