Civil Engineer

About the role

(To be stationed full time on-site for the project during construction phase)

To assist and support the Project Manager/Director in planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the works. Work closely with site personnel, provide direction and guidance to them in the implementation and completion of projects within the budgeted cost and delivery timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all works carried out in accordance to specifications, construction plan, procedures and work instruction.
• Handle technical and engineering problems.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and consultants in order to obtain approvals.
• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, minimize environmental impact associated with construction activities.
• Attend and coordinate all site matters with various contractors, consultants and relevant authorities.
• Monitor progress of the construction site to meet targets of every stage of completion.
• Other duties as requested by Manager/Directors.

About you

• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
• Willing to travel/relocate according to the project location.
• For candidates with Diploma background, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil and structural work.
• For candidates with Degree background, a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in civil and structural work.
• Able to demonstrate competence and confidence in resolving site technical issues.
• Familiar with Malaysia's JKR Standard Specification, Standard Code of Practice & Regulations.
• Letter of commitment for this project is to be provided.
