Civil Engineer

About the role

Assist the Assistant Manager in preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Check on the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
• Prepare draft correspondences e.g. technical letters, slide presentations, reports, or any documents related to the assigned projects
• Attend on behalf of the Assistant Manager all technical meetings either internal or external meetings and also Government Agencies (as and when required)
• Review drawings, reports and technical documents submitted by appointed sub-consultants
• Ensure contract administration performs following the contract conditions and obligations
• Supervise the Document Controller on the relevant filings and documentation compliance with standard specifications and ISO 9001:2015 requirement
• Supervise the Document Controller on systematic tracking for all correspondences i.e drawings and documents related to contractual and technical matters
• Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects (as and when required)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 - 5 years of relevant civil design experience
• Proficiency in using engineering software such as Civil3D, AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or a related professional body
