What they need
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify that work conforms to approved plans, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, project managers, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and other technical documents.
- Identify design conflicts, site issues, and construction discrepancies and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
- Assist in preparing project schedules, progress reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
- Ensure that engineering works comply with applicable building codes, safety requirements, project specifications, and company standards.
- Provide technical support and recommendations during construction and project implementation.
- Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.
- Participate in meetings, inspections, testing, commissioning, and project coordination activities.
- Maintain accurate engineering records, calculations, drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Perform other engineering duties and responsibilities related to the project as assigned.
