Civil Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to plan, design, supervise, and manage civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities meet approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Job Description

• Design and oversee the construction of buildings, roads, drainage systems, foundations, and other civil infrastructure.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, designs, specifications, and technical documents.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, measurements, and assessments.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, artisans, and site workers.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure projects are completed within agreed budgets and timelines.
• Calculate quantities of materials, manpower, and other resources required for projects.
• Monitor the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, and other project professionals.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues on site.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Inspect completed works and ensure defects are identified and corrected.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and technical reports.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, procurement, and cost control.
• Perform other engineering duties as assigned by management.

Requirements/Skills

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven years of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
• Good knowledge of construction quality control and site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and project management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
• COREN registration or eligibility is an added advantage.

Pay: ₦150,000.00 per month
