Job Summary

WEFIT Group is looking for a Dubai Municipality (DM) Approved Civil Engineer to support our renovation, fit-out and contracting projects in Dubai.

The engineer will be responsible for authority approvals, technical drawing preparation, submissions, follow-ups and coordination with relevant authorities. The role will also provide technical support to the project team to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle Dubai Municipality (DM) approvals and submissions for company projects.
• Prepare, review and modify technical drawings required for authority submissions.
• Prepare and coordinate architectural/civil drawings, layouts and other submission drawings as required.
• Review existing drawings and site conditions before preparing authority submissions.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable Dubai Municipality regulations, building codes and authority requirements.
• Submit drawings, applications and supporting documents through applicable authority portals.
• Follow up authority submissions, comments, revisions, inspections and final approvals.
• Respond to authority comments and coordinate required drawing/document revisions.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, project managers and other technical personnel for approvals.
• Coordinate with other relevant authorities and developers where required for project approvals/NOCs.
• Maintain proper records of submissions, approvals, NOCs, approved drawings and authority correspondence.
• Support the project team with technical clarification of approved drawings.
• Conduct site visits when required for measurements, verification and technical assessment.
• Ensure site execution is consistent with approved drawings and authority requirements.
• Assist with completion documentation and authority-related project close-out requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid Dubai Municipality approval/registration as Civil Engineer relevant to the company's required activity.
• Previous experience handling Dubai Municipality submissions and approvals.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations and approval procedures.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and ability to independently prepare and revise submission drawings.
• Experience in renovation, villa modification, fit-out or building contracting projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with authority portals and online submission procedures.
• Ability to understand existing architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• UAE experience is strongly preferred.
