REGISTERED CIVIL ENGINEER

Position Overview

The Registered Civil Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, estimation, coordination, and implementation of civil engineering projects. The role ensures that projects are executed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, engineering standards, and applicable Philippine regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Design

• Prepare and review civil, structural, and site development plans.
• Develop engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Conduct site assessments, measurements, and technical evaluations.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and construction details.

2. Quantity Surveying & Cost Estimation

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and material estimates.
• Develop project cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
• Evaluate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare estimates for proposed construction works, renovations, and site development projects.
• Review contractor quotations and assist in cost comparison and evaluation.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential cost variations.

3. Project Implementation

• Supervise and monitor civil construction activities from start to completion.
• Ensure construction follows approved plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with contractors and project teams.
• Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, equipment, and work schedules.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures and site requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, accomplishment reports, and other project documentation.
• Assist in project turnover, punch-list completion, testing, and final inspection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed / Registered Civil Engineer (RCE) in the Philippines.
• Preferably with experience in construction, engineering design, estimation, and project implementation.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to conduct site inspections and supervise field activities.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams.
