Civil Engineer

About the role

This position is responsible for planning, managing, executing, and closing out construction and maintenance projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner. The role oversees site activities, technical evaluations, resource planning, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and client requirements. The Civil Engineer also supports tender submissions, project monitoring, technical resolutions, and continuous operational improvements.

Key responsibilities:

1.Project Execution & Site Management

• Plan, manage, and execute construction or maintenance works safely and effectively

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams from planning to handover

• Conduct site investigations, review test results, drawings, and reports

• Monitor site progress, provide regular updates, and address technical issues

• Attend site and project meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items

2.Planning & Documentation

• Develop long-term and short-term work plans and work schedules

• Prepare and maintain method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, EQCC, FIS, as-built

drawings, and close-out reports

• Perform pre-work preparation including site visits and planning

• Ensure all documentation meets regulatory, quality, and client standards

3. Commercial & Procurement Support

• Follow through on quotations, BQs, progress claims, PO issuance, and closing

• Raise MRFs, manage GRN closure, and verify correctness of delivered materials

• Support tender preparation including technical submissions and project schedules

4. HSSE Compliance

• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with HSSE requirements

• Attend monthly HSSE committee meetings and escalate any issues

• Support incident reporting and corrective actions

5. Technical Support & Continuous Improvement

• Resolve technical issues in coordination with designers, consultants, subcontractors, and

vendors

• Identify system or process deficiencies and recommend improvement measures

• Support mechanisation, digitalisation, and productivity enhancements

6. Post-Project Activities

• Manage handover procedures, follow-up work during DLP or warranty period

• Ensure smooth transition from construction to operational use

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised by Singapore PE Board

• Minimum 3–5 years relevant civil engineering site experience

• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines

• Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams

• Experience with Microsoft Project / Primavera (preferred)

• Able to work on site and attend project meetings outside regular hours if required

• Working days – 6 days

• Working hours – 0800 to 1700hours

• Working location – Pulau Bukom/Jurong Island/or where projects required
