About the role

WRN Health Incorporated is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity based in Davao City, Davao del Sur. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure projects that support our healthcare facilities and operations. This position is integral to ensuring that our physical infrastructure meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects that enhance our healthcare delivery capabilities and contribute to the growth and success of WRN Health Incorporated.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop civil engineering plans, specifications, and technical drawings for healthcare infrastructure projects using industry-standard software and methodologies
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and geological assessments to inform project planning and design decisions
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, project budgets, and resource allocation plans for assigned projects
• Oversee construction activities, perform regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with approved designs, building codes, and safety regulations
• Manage project timelines, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and prepare progress reports for senior management
• Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of buildings and infrastructure
• Identify and resolve technical issues and design challenges that arise during construction phases
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, test reports, and compliance records
• Collaborate with health and safety teams to implement and maintain construction site safety protocols
• Support the maintenance and rehabilitation of existing facilities to extend their operational life

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Civil Engineer (CE) license, or equivalent qualification recognised in the Philippines
• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering, with demonstrated expertise in design and project management
• Strong proficiency in civil engineering software including AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar structural analysis tools
• Solid understanding of Philippine building codes, National Building Code (NBC), and relevant safety standards
• Knowledge of healthcare facility design requirements and regulations, or willingness to develop expertise in this area
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Experience in supervising contractors and managing on-site construction activities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management software
• Preferred experience: Prior involvement in healthcare facility projects, knowledge of sustainability and green building practices, or experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling)
