Civil Engineer

Requirement of BE / B. Tech Civil Engineerfor the project at Shendra MIDC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Executive Engineer with 10 to 12 years of expertise to lead the end-to-end civil execution, structural construction, and finishing works for a new greenfield/brownfield medical device /pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in industrial building constructionspecifically cleanroom sub-structures, heavy equipment foundations, epoxy/PU flooring, HVAC plinths, clean utilities, and EHS compliance. You will manage contractors, enforce quality control (cGMP-compliant civil finishes), track project schedules, and ensure seamless delivery from breaking ground to hand-over.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Construction Management

Lead daily site civil execution for production blocks, utility buildings, administrative blocks, solvent storage areas, and external site infrastructure (roads, drainage, boundary structures).

Supervise civil contractors, structural teams, and sub-contractors to ensure work is executed according to approved engineering drawings (GFCs), structural calculations, co-ordinate with architecture and structural engineers /firms and to meet project timelines.

Oversee heavy foundation civil works for specialized pharma and utility machinery (e.g.lyophilizers, autoclaves, chillers, cooling towers, boiler foundations, and water systems ,WFI skid beds).

2. cGMP & Cleanroom-Specific Civil Finishes

Supervise cGMP-compliant interior civil finishes, including coving, flush-door installations, wall panel supports, cGMP ceilings, and specialized chemical-resistant epoxy or polyurethane (PU) floor toppings.

Ensure water-proofing, slab slopings, cleanroom drainage traps, and trench construction strictly adhere to contamination-prevention and hygiene standards.

3. Contractor Management, Quality & Billing

Inspect raw materials (concrete, steel, waterproofing agents, structural steel) and verify test reports (cube test results, steel tensile strength, moisture tests).

Perform continuous quality checks (QA/QC), slump tests, alignment audits, and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when work deviates from specifications.

Measure and verify contractor work execution, certify running account (RA) bills, and manage site material reconciliation (cement, reinforcement steel, etc.).

4. Safety, Coordination & Project Tracking

Collaborate with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), HVAC, and Cleanroom Piping teams to ensure proper execution of wall/slab sleeves, cut-outs, insert plates, and duct/pipe trenches before concrete pours.

Monitor project milestones against the master project schedule (MS Project / Primavera) and implement recovery plans for any execution delays.

Enforce strict site safety protocols in coordination with the EHS team (excavation safety, scaffolding certifications, formwork stability, and worker PPE).

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Work Experience-

10 to 12 years of total experience in civil site execution and project management.

Mandatory: Minimum 7–8 years in industrial/pharmaceutical building projects (API, Formulations, Injectables, or Biotech plants).

Technical & Soft Competencies

Deep understanding of cGMP architectural and civil requirements (smooth surfaces, jointless flooring, hygienic drain design, non-porous finishes).

Strong knowledge of IS codes/ACI standards for concrete, structural steelwork, and waterproofing techniques.

Proficiency in reading Architectural, Structural, and MEP coordination drawings.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Primavera/MS Project for progress tracking.

Excellent contractor management, site leadership, and dispute-resolution skills.
