Civil Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute factory construction projects from inception to completion.
• Manage all civil works including industrial buildings, warehouses, offices, roads, foundations, drainage systems, boundary walls, and utility infrastructure.
• Prepare project schedules, work plans, cost estimates, and monitor project progress.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise site activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with engineering standards and company requirements.
• Inspect ongoing work and identify any technical or quality issues, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Verify contractor bills, material quantities, and project measurements.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and construction materials.
• Maintain project documentation, daily progress reports, and site records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at construction sites.
• Coordinate procurement of construction materials and monitor inventory requirements.
• Assist management in planning future expansion projects and facility improvements.
• Ensure projects are completed within the approved budget and project timeline.
• Provide technical support for maintenance, renovation, and repair of company buildings and infrastructure.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial, factory, or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of RCC structures, steel structures, industrial buildings, and infrastructure development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Good understanding of project planning, estimation, quantity surveying, and site execution.
• Knowledge of construction quality standards and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn Portuguese.
