Engineering Department Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Plans & Project Coordination

* Review engineering plans, contracts, and project documents.

* Track project requirements, approvals, and pending action items.

* Coordinate with Project Managers and project teams on project progress.

* Maintain project records, correspondence, and engineering documentation.

2. Vendor Quotations & Cost Analysis

* Obtain quotations from vendors, consultants, and contractors.

* Review scope, pricing, exclusions, and deliverables.

* Prepare quotation comparison sheets for management review.

* Assist with vendor selection and cost management.

3. Vendor, Consultant & Contractor Coordination

* Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors on project requirements.

* Communicate technical requirements, drawings, and project information.

* Follow up on submissions, revisions, installations, and pending items.

* Assist in resolving technical and project coordination issues.

4. Vendor & Contractor Database Management

* Research qualified vendors, contractors, and consultants.

* Maintain updated contact and company information.

* Track vendor specialties, services, pricing, and project experience.

* Maintain records of previous proposals and vendor performance.

5. Engineering Research & Project Support

* Research engineering, utility, permitting, and development requirements.

* Gather information from city, county, utility, and other relevant sources.

* Support feasibility studies, budgeting, and project planning.

* Prepare and maintain research findings and supporting documentation.
