Civil Engineer – Data Analytics & AI

As part of this journey, we are looking for a Civil Engineer with hands-on construction experience who is eager to develop their career in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Role:

The key to success in this role is a solid understanding of how construction projects are designed, cost-estimated, executed and measured, combined with the engineering judgment to assess whether results are technically sound and practically realistic.

You do not need to be a data or AI expert from day one! Technical capabilities in these areas will be developed on the job, with the guidance and support of our experienced team.

Reporting to the Lead Data & Insights Engineer, you will work closely with experienced Data and AI Engineers, as well as construction and project teams, bridging engineering expertise with emerging technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze technical and financial data from construction projects to generate meaningful insights and support better decision-making

• Develop data-driven models, standards, and tools in collaboration with engineers and project teams

• Explore and apply AI technologies, including Document AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), to solve practical challenges in construction

• Take ownership of assigned initiatives, from initial concept and design through development, implementation, and real-world adoption

• Continuously develop your expertise in data and AI, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices across the Group

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline

• A postgraduate degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Construction Management or a related field is preferred

• Hands-on construction experience, gained in a construction site, technical office, cost estimation, procurement, project planning, or a related function

• A genuine interest in Data & AI, demonstrated through postgraduate studies, courses, practical projects, tools, or automation developed professionally or independently

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex will be considered an advantage.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with very good knowledge of Excel and a willingness to develop proficiency in Python

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both construction professionals and Data & AI Engineers

• Excellent command of Greek and good command of English

• Experience with tools and platforms such as BIM, Primavera P6, SAP, or Power BI will be considered an advantage.
