Civil Engineer - Entry Level

This position is full-time in person. No prior work experience required. Gateway Engineers is a multi-million-dollar, full-service civil engineering consulting firm with ~240 employees with offices in Pittsburgh, PA, Butler, PA, and Selma, NC.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of or be willing to learn:

• Tasks in other practice areas within the company and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Water resources engineering and stormwater management design
• Site layout and regulatory analysis including zoning and ordinance review
• Grading design and earthwork analysis
• Construction administration, site visits, and construction observation
• Sustainable design practices and low impact development (LID) strategies
• Technical writing including reports, letters, and permit applications
• Utility and infrastructure design including water, sanitary, and storm systems
• Use of Civil 3D for design, grading, and plan production
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and grow within the company

This Opportunity Requires Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and/or related field

License/Certification

• Engineer-In-Training and/or a desire to obtain certification
