Civil Engineer (TAQA/TRANSCO Competent Engineer)

Manages civil construction and site execution for power transmission (such as 132KV OHTL) and utility infrastructure. The role requires a valid TAQA/TRANSCO competency approval, a Civil Engineering degree, and 5 to 10 years of UAE utility project experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all civil designs, foundations, trenching, duct banks, and structural works comply with TAQA and TRANSCO standards.
• Site Execution & Supervision: Oversee day-to-day site activities for high-voltage substations, OHTL foundations, or water/utility pipelines.
• Quality & Inspections: Conduct site audits, handle Work Inspection Requests (WIR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and manage Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with client authorities (TAQA, TRANSCO), contractors, and cross-functional electrical/mechanical teams
• HSE Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental protocols on live sites and utility corridors
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with mandatory equivalency certificate in the UAE)
• Active/valid TAQA / TRANSCO Competency Certificate or prior approval as a competent person
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in UAE power transmission, infrastructure projects civil works.
• Often requires a Civil Defense or Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) Practicing Engineer license or a CICPA pass depending on the site location
• Proficiency in site documentation, AutoCAD, and reading complex structural and civil drawings

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
