Civil Engineering Assistant

Job Responsibility

• Assist senior engineers in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, blueprints, and models using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure quality control and safety protocols are followed.
• Support project coordination efforts by liaising with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project workflow and communication.
• Compile and organize project data, prepare progress reports, and assist in the documentation of project activities, findings, and recommendations.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis under the guidance of experienced engineers, contributing to design validation and problem-solving.
• Maintain project documentation, including permits, approvals, and correspondence, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrate 3-5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering projects, with a focus on design, planning, and execution.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drafting, design, and modeling of civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to effectively coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
• Experience in conducting thorough site inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Strong report writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate technical reports, progress updates, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Mandarin to facilitate effective collaboration with a diverse workforce and client base.
