Civil Engineering Project Manager

Location: Klamath Falls, Oregon

Base Pay: $85,000 to $110,000 annual salary DOE, plus excellent benefits which include paid time off (up to 4 weeks, DOE), 401(k) retirement plan (100% employer matching up to 3% and 50% from 3 to 5% of gross salary), Health insurance (company pays 100% of premium for employee and 50% for spouse/family, Fitness incentive (up to $600/yr reimbursement of fitness related expenses), Training/continuing education budget (up to $1,000/yr) and company provided smart phone w/Verizon unlimited data plan for work and personal use.

SUMMARY

Adkins Engineering & Surveying, LLP. (AE) is looking for a highly motivated civil engineering project manager to join our group of successful professionals in southern Oregon who provide personalized engineering services to communities and clients throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California. We are seeking to hire a project manager who possesses sound engineering and team leadership skills with potential interest in future firm ownership opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in a team to fund, plan, and design a variety of municipal water, wastewater, water resources, utility, site development, and transportation projects
• Develop project scope, budget, schedule and project delivery plans
• Develop studies, reports, design drawings and technical specifications
• Provide funding/bidding assistance and construction management for water, wastewater, water resources, site development and other municipal projects
• Coordinate with other engineers and surveyors on a wide variety of projects
• Manage and mentor engineering technicians and interns
• Provide excellent client service

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience designing water, wastewater, water resources and/or other infrastructure projects for public entities (cities, counties, districts, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Oregon and/or California is preferred.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with no driving under the influence arrests.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPIERIENCE

• Public speaking skills with experience participating in meetings with clients, the public and contractors

• Experience in developing and writing planning documents, work agreements and task orders

• Project management experience including managing subconsultants

• Ability to lead, train and motivate others and contribute to a team environment

• Experience in developing effective long-lasting relationships with clients, peers and management
