Civil Estimation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Civil Estimation Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, tender submissions, and commercial proposals for civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawings.
• Prepare BOQs, rate analysis, and tender pricing.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Calculate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare competitive commercial and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, and commercial teams.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, variations, and potential cost risks.
• Prepare estimates for variations and additional works.
• Maintain cost databases and historical project rates.
• Ensure tender submissions are accurate and completed within deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil estimation/tendering.
• UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction works, materials, and methods.
• Good experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, and tender pricing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction practices and market rates.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
