Civil Inspector

Job Summary

Drawlines Consult WLL is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector with a minimum of 10 years of experience in road project supervision. The candidate must have valid Ashghal approval and a strong background in site supervision, construction inspections, and quality compliance for road and infrastructure projects.

This role focuses on construction supervision, inspection, and quality control—not design.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections for road construction and infrastructure works.
• Supervise roadwork activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Inspect road formation, earthworks, subgrade, sub-base, road base, asphalt paving, kerbs, footpaths, and associated infrastructure works.
• Monitor contractors' activities and verify that work is carried out according to approved method statements and inspection procedures.
• Review inspection requests and verify completed works before recommending approval.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet project quality requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, contractors, and QA/QC teams to resolve site issues.
• Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection reports, site records, and relevant quality documentation.
• Monitor progress and report construction issues to the supervision team.
• Ensure compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Support project handover, snagging, and final inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in road construction supervision.
• Valid Ashghal approval is mandatory.
• Strong experience in road and infrastructure construction inspection.
• Good knowledge of road construction methods, materials, specifications, and quality standards.
• Experience in site supervision and construction quality inspections.
• Ability to interpret approved construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Good reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
• Design experience alone will not meet the requirement; hands-on road project supervision experience is essential.
