Civil QA/QC Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Civil QA/QC Engineer with strong knowledge of UAE construction standards and proven experience in villa and high-rise building projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and consultant requirements. The candidate must be fluent in Arabic to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures in accordance with project specifications, approved Quality Plans, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Inspect and monitor civil construction activities, including excavation, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete casting, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, screeding, tiling, and finishing works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all construction activities comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, material specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare, review, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Requests (IRs), checklists, Method Statements, and other quality-related documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely inspections and approvals.
• Verify that all construction materials are approved and comply with project specifications before installation or use on site.
• Identify non-conformities, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure.
• Monitor concrete quality, including reinforcement inspections, formwork checks, concrete pouring procedures, slump tests, cube tests, and curing activities.
• Ensure proper execution and inspection of waterproofing systems, particularly for roofs, bathrooms, balconies, basements, swimming pools, and other wet areas.
• Inspect architectural and civil finishing works to ensure compliance with approved samples, specifications, and required workmanship standards.
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories for material testing and ensure that test reports are properly documented and approved.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, material approvals, test certificates, and project quality documentation for audits and handover.
• Monitor subcontractors’ work quality and ensure that any defects or deviations are rectified before proceeding to subsequent activities.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with the project Quality Management System.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports and update the project team regarding inspection status, quality issues, and pending approvals.
• Assist in preparing snagging and de-snagging reports and ensure that all quality-related comments are closed before project handover.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UAE authority requirements, consultant specifications, approved project standards, and applicable health and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Proven experience as a Civil QA/QC Engineer in UAE villa and high-rise building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, inspection procedures, quality control systems, and construction materials.
• Good understanding of UAE construction standards, project specifications, and consultant approval procedures.
• Experience in preparing QA/QC documentation, ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs, inspection reports, and material submittals.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Fluent Arabic speaking is mandatory, with good English communication and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction documentation systems.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to maintaining high-quality construction standards.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple inspections, and meet project deadlines.

Pay: Up to AED20,000.00 per month
